Slippers

I have been wanting to make felted slippers for a long, long time and I finally started a pair this week. They are surprisingly easy and fast. Really fast! I have 1 knit up and have started on the second one. The 1st one only took about 4 hrs, not bad.

Linen Yarn

So I finished this shawl out of linen yarn, and I am in love with the yarn. You can both wash and dry it, not only is this ok, but it helps make it softer and have more drape to it. Wonderful!

Oh, Summer.

I adore the summer. I never want it to end. I used to live in SoCal where the weather was great pretty much all the time, but I was bored and missed fall. So even though I enjoy the long days of summer, somehow, I manage to also love Fall when it gets here not a moment before.

With Fall comes new yarn (woohoo!), the need for sweaters and cardigans, and maybe even the occasional wrap or scarf.

For now I am happy to still be knitting smallish and lightweight things. I am not ready for summer to end but I know that I will welcome Fall with arms full of fabulous yarns and knitting some glorious sweater.

Untitled

I am really in a weird knitting place. I feel like i want to make all these projects but then when I have time to knit I don't feel like it. I have been knitting though. I am making a product that I am trying to sell at a local shop called Heavenly Metal. I am also working on developing some other things too. Hopefully I will get motivated soon and have some pictures to show.

I am working on a great shawl that I really hope to finish before summer is over. It's out of Linen yarn that I adore. I want to make everything out of it. I go on more about it once I have something to show.

Slump

I have crashed. I was on a knitting high feverishly creating a Caribbean ocean to wrap up in when the air conditioning got out of hand. I managed an entire sweater in less than 2 weeks from start to finish and now, oh now I have no motivation to do anything. It's weird to be so driven and then for that drive to just STOP! I know I am not the only one (although it sure feels like it.) It's highly frustrating! Just a late night before bed rant
